This would allow you to:

There are two types of internships:

For students pursuing a Master's degree in Work and Organizational Psychology

An observation internship


  • is an integral part of the university training curriculum for a future Work and Organizational Psychologist - PTO (more info below)
  • has a required duration of at least 2 months
  • requires an internship supervisor who meets the prerequisites (see file below) 
  • is paid for, see our recommendations on this subject 
  • applies conditions of employment (legal elements to be taken into consideration and example employment contract below)

For Work and Organizational Psychologists who have obtained their Master's degree and wish to enter the job market

A professional internship

  • is a first professional experience lasting 6-12 months 
  • is supervised, and recommends a supervisor in work and organizational psychology (see conditions below) 
  • is remunerated, see our recommendations on this subject
  • applies conditions of employment (legal considerations to be taken into account and example of an employment contract for interns below)

  • Post the offer on www.psy4work.ch (send your offer to info@psy4work.ch, which will circulate it to its members)
  • Select the intern and hire the intern

Trainee support and assessment

Tips and tricks

  • Welcome him/her
  •  Introduce him/her to: colleagues / the company / work environment (tools, resources, etc.)
  • Prioritize the activities and progress of the internship, and set evaluation criteria and conditions
  • Regularly evaluate the activities carried out
  • At the end of the internship, issue him/her with a certificate describing the tasks entrusted and the assessment of the work carried out.
